After presenting my final intern project, I was invited to join a project in collaboration with Mesh Training Ltd, to create the spotlight project for the next year’s Gravity Sketch Around Festival, along with another fellow designer. In the months following, we designed a fully appointed and detailed 150 ft luxury yacht proposal, a first of it’s kind for the festival and the software. As this collaboration project was fully remote and virtual taking space in Gravity Sketch software, the two of us plus the CEO and founder of Mesh Training created a detailed 20 minute reveal and animation video that premiered to a record audience of automotive, industrial and product designers.
At the end of my junior year at LTU I was offered a 3 month internship at Stellantis North America. A couple weeks after graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Transportation Design, I was assigned to the Advanced Design Studio in Auburn Hills MI, where I spent time working alongside production exterior, interior and UX designers, and was assigned to the Chrysler studio to develop a concept interior with another fellow intern. I was thrilled at the opportunity to gain my first design studio experience, and the opportunity to network with and work alongside top names and talent in the industry.

After graduation, I wanted to parlay my skills as a digital sculptor into the design field, and I began attending Lawrence Tech University in August of 2020. In my sophomore year I enrolled in the Gravity Sketch Student Ambassador program, earning Designer, Expert and Professional certifications for the software. Later in my sophomore year I accepted an internship with Wenzel GmbH, and spent time abroad in Frankfurt, Cologne, and Stuttgart training as a mill operator. During the time I had the opportunity to make connections with international designers from Ford, Mazda and Renault, and learn about their techniques and processes milling with the Wenzel machines. Upon returning I headed up the operation of LTU’s CoAD student clay mill until graduation in May of 2024.

Like many others, my discovery of the art of Transportation Design came about as a side effect of my childhood matchbox car collection, aided by my father’s monthly car magazine subscriptions. Years of work as a professional automotive detailer since early highschool led me to develop an appreciation for automotive design in the most hands-on sense possible, and supplementally led me to General Motors’ YMAD program for three years, itself supplementally leading me to graduating Macomb Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Digital Sculpting in May of 2020.
